Freebies

I love getting something for free! No long post today, just some sincere appreciation for those designers who put out free kits! Here are some that I have enjoyed playing with this weekend (which is also National Scrapbook Day weekend).

When I saw the rope frame I knew it would be perfect for this most meaningful photo of myself with my Mom. Almost as if she knew I was thinking of making a tribute page, a friend posted the poem on facebook - the perfect words for what I wanted this page to convey. I used embellishments and papers from Janet's portion of the Beach Collaboration kit at Scrap Party Digi Shop.

Over at After Five Designs I found this scrumptuous freebie paper in Re-Creation 23 Add On Freebie Elements kit by Createwings Designs and Catherine Designs.



After creating the first layout above, I needed to balance with some happy thoughts. This is a favourite photo of my son with some puppies from a friend's dog litter. He was in heaven!

This one combined some other Re-Creation freebies with a Freebie Quick Page from Scrap Orchard's Irene Alexeeva called Greenfingers. I also used purchased papers from Fishbowl Designs' Just Greens kit from Sunshine Studio Scraps.



I have always wanted to try a fantasy layout. The original photo was from our first digital camera and the resolution was so low that this is as big as it can be printed. I thought it worked beautifully with Irene's lovely illustration!

It is now Sunday afternoon in Australia and time to get off the computer and get ready for the week ahead. Hope all of those who still have another day to play with all the beautiful NSD offers in digi land have a great time!
